Farm Cooking
The idea of eating whole foods, foods not processed, canned, packaged, pre-cooked, or microwave ready can seem overwhelming. How do I cook them? How do I store them? What do I do with the left-overs?

As our lives have gotten more complicated, and more and more of our time has to be spent simply making ends meet, it can seem counterproductive to take the time to make our meals with whole foods.

In the long run, it turns out that taking the time to cook meals from whole foods improves our lives in unexpected ways. For example, meals made from whole foods are more densely packed with nutrition which means that it actually takes longer to eat them. This in turn extends family time around the table.

Eating whole foods has been shown to improve our health. Less time spent at the doctors office, or sitting on the couch feeling sick, means more time to do the things we want to do. And less money spent on medication and healthcare means more money to spend on other things.

Eating whole foods has been shown to improve our body mass index and our blood pressure, two more reasons to choose whole foods over processed foods.
